Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state where the Center is located.
• One year nursing experience preferred, Job Corps experience desirable.
• Sound nursing techniques.
• Ability to relate effectively to a student population.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Must maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment, treatment, emergency care, and case management for student health conditions.
• Administers medications and follows up on observations of students.
• Documents and submits forms to local, state, and federal agencies.
• On-call support as required.
• Schedules and follows up medical appointments.
• Performs physical and emotional wellness assessments and develops health plans.
• Maintains records on dispensing, inventory, and disposal of medical supplies.
