Job summary

Fort Osage SUBS/HOMEBOUND - INDEPENDENCE, Missouri is seeking a School Nurse - RN Substitute for the 26-27 School Year. The role covers multiple school sites as needed and pays $28.70 per hour, bi-monthly for dates worked.

Licensed Missouri RN required; assignment determined by district leadership. Questions: Dr. Steve Morgan at 816-650-7006 or HR at 816-650-7004. This is a part-time, non-scheduled position used as needed across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers mandated screenings (e.g. vision and scoliosis screenings) for the purpose of referring medical conditions and/or providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured children.
• Administers first aid, medication and specialized medical treatments (e.g. suctioning, catheterization) for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured children.
• Assesses situations involving students' safety, abuse and other health related issues for the purpose of identifying problems, referring for proper treatment and complying with legal requirements.
