Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Teacher-School Health Aide at McElvain School in Illinois. Under supervision, you will assist the teacher to provide an organized learning environment, help with daily living activities when needed, and support health-related services for students.

Responsibilities include following IEPs, recording daily progress, and participating in CPI and safety procedures. The position is generally a nine-month contract with duties varying by student needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 60 college credits; an associate degree preferred.
• Pass Work Keys or ParaPro assessment.
• Preference for experience with disability-related services.
• Licensure and registration with Illinois State Board of Education required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher to create an organized learning environment.
• Redirect students per behavior intervention plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Attend to health-related services and document daily records.
• Support with meals, recess, bus, and hallway supervision.
• Observe health and safety needs; assist with transfers and mobility as required.
• Support vision/hearing screenings and CPI where applicable.
• Participate in technology integration and time-sheets submission.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Sixty hours of college credit
