St. Vrain Valley Schools is seeking a Student Worker for Transportation Fleet Maintenance. The role supports the Transportation Services department, with duties around fleet upkeep and coordination to keep buses and support vehicles ready for daily student transport.

The position is variable in hours and days per year, aligning with the district’s academic calendar. It offers exposure to fleet maintenance operations and compliance with federal regulations and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates safe walking paths and distances
• Evaluates traffic issues and patterns
• Responds around the clock to emergency breakdowns and accidents involving school buses and support fleets
• Evaluates bus stop locations
• Maintains buses and support fleet vehicles
• Monitors and trains coaches and teachers who wish to use Suburbans or minibusses
• Trains staff who hold Commercial Drivers Licenses to ensure compliance with federal regulation
