Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking Penn State students to join Campus Recreation as Student Fitness Equipment Staff. You will support maintenance and operation of cardio, free-weight, and selectorized equipment across campus facilities.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, comfort with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, including days, evenings, and weekends. CPR/First Aid/AED training within 30 days or current certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall administration and management of the fitness equipment maintenance program.
• Assemble, move, clean, inspect, lubricate, and perform general maintenance on cardio, free-weight, and selectorized equipment.
• Collaborate with external service companies for warranty, maintenance, and repairs.
• Track inventory and stock parts and supplies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Support safety, security, and risk management protocols in facilities.
• Wear PPE and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and cover shifts as needed.
