Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville seeks an Assistant Director for Financial Wellness & Engagement to lead day-to-day financial wellness programming within the Center for Financial Wellness (CFW) in the Division of Enrollment Management.

You will supervise staff, coordinate communications, and advance student financial capability, success, and retention on all stages of the academic journey. This role emphasizes data-informed program improvement and collaborative execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in student affairs, campus programming, student financial wellness, or related area.
• Experience developing and facilitating high-impact student-facing programs or events.
• Demonstrated collaboration across campus units.

Responsibilities

• Implements and coordinates financial wellness programming with a student success and student life lens, ensuring broad reach and meaningful student impact.
• Oversee day-to-day coordination of CFW communications, ensuring student-facing financial messaging is consistent and timely.
• Provides day-to-day coordination and professional support to CFW’s Coordinator and Financial Wellness Coaches.
• Supports the operational effectiveness of CFW programs and contributes to assessment and reporting of program impact.
