FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $24.62 – $26.67


Full Salary Range: The full salary range for the position is $24.62 - $28.67


Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the university.

We are seeking a Student Financial Planning Advisor to work remotely on a full-time 37.5-hour per week basis.


Summary

The Student Financial Planning Advisor provides personalized financial aid counseling to students on all aspects of financial aid programs from all federal, state, university, and private loan and scholarships sources. This position is the first point of contact for prospective and current students’ questions regarding available financial aid, scholarships, payment options, and/or admissions inquiries. The Student Financial Planning Advisor supports and collaborates with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts to ensure cooperative cross-functional, cross-campus communications and dialogue by maintaining a close working relationship with all campus offices and provide comprehensive information and guidance to students, as well as other services/resources from other areas of the University.


QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communication, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum four years’ experience in student financial aid, higher education administration, lending/finance, or in a related field that requires the interpretation and application of regulations and policies. Experience using computer database systems and federal software such as Colleague, NSLDS, and COD. Experience with federal student loan administration, scholarship administration, and borrower counseling is strongly preferred.
