Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
• One year of relevant experience in customer service, financial services, accounting, banking, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret, review, and evaluate complex financial documentation and policies accurately.
• Ability to counsel and advise students and parents on matters concerning financial obligations to the university.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough working knowledge of FERPA and student data regulations.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and relevant financial software.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to students, families, and campus stakeholders regarding financial obligations and payment options.
• Review and interpret student accounts to explain charges, payments, and balances clearly.
• Counsel students and families on payment plans, loans, and deferments.
• Process account activity including billing, refunds, and adjustments with accuracy.
• Resolve account issues with sound judgment and escalate when needed.
• Maintain student accounts and related documentation; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Deliver exceptional service via phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Perform back‑office duties such as data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, Registrar, and other campus partners.
