Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an Event Coordinator in Sacramento to support the Marketing and Outreach Manager in planning and executing student engagement events on and around the Sac State campus.

The role involves coordinating spaces, vendors, and materials, collaborating with graphic designers and outreach staff, and helping promote events to increase awareness of ASI programs and services. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at Sacramento State while maintaining eligible GPA.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint on Windows.
• Able to work evenings and some weekends, up to 20 hours per week during in-session periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating 7–10 events per semester for Student Engagement and Outreach.
• Collaborate with designers and outreach staff to promote events on campus.
• Organize planning meetings between A-Team and stakeholders as needed.
• Participate in campus committees planning events such as Election Planning Group and Block Party.
• Develop and coordinate new service events and ASI programs to promote ASI services.
• Communicate progress and challenges to Marketing & Outreach Manager.
• Maintain and organize program materials and supplies.
• Attend department meetings and events; staff events as needed.
• Assist with setup and takedown tasks; complete event evaluations.
• May work over term break to prepare for next semester's events.
