Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Student Event Setup Crew Member to assist in setting up campus event spaces. You will handle staging, seating, tables, and signage according to event plans, supporting the Event Operations Coordinator.

As a student employee, you will gain hands-on experience in event management, logistics, and teamwork while supporting safety and smooth event execution. Shifts vary with class schedules and some weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at SNHU.
• Student workers may be prioritized for Federal Work-Study.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Familiarity with audiovisual equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and arrangement of event spaces following provided plans.
• Help with transportation and placement of event equipment and supplies.
• Prepare venue by placing tables, chairs, and signage as needed.
• Coordinate with team and staff to ensure timely setup and smooth events.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues during setup and report to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure attendee and staff well-being.
