Job summary

The New School seeks student employees to support Lang Arts and large-scale productions in various roles on campus. Working some evenings and weekends is required as Lang Events take place during those times. Hourly rate is $19 and positions are on-campus.

Responsibilities include day-of event support, guest check-in with Splash, and assisting the Lang Arts staff and Stage Manager with performance transitions and costuming tasks.

We are seeking student employees to support Lang Arts and large scale productions in various roles. Working some evenings and weekends is required as a portion of Lang Events take place in the evening.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• In-person day-of event support
• Checking in attendees using Splash event registration tool (app)
• Other assigned duties to support Lang Arts productions/events, such as assisting Lang Arts staff/Stage Manager with the transition between student performance pieces

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Matriculated New School student
• Organizational skills
• Ability to occasionally carry/move items 40+ lbs
• Available up to 5 hours per week

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a theater production/arts space
• Attentive to detail
• Federal Work-Study Awardee preferred

WORK MODE

On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely. #LI-DNI

Hourly Rate : $19 an hour
