Job summary

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) seeks a SEEA Student Leader to provide frontline support at the SEEA Office, greet students and staff, answer phones, and direct inquiries. You will assist in planning events and workshops that promote student success and work on special SEEA projects with professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors at the SEEA office as Front Desk Receptionist
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide basic information or direct to appropriate staff
• Assist in planning, promoting, and hosting events or workshops for student success
• Collaborate on special projects as assigned by SEEA Professional Staff

Position Overview:

The SEEA Student Leader(s) will serve as a vital part of the Student Engagement, Experience & Achievement (SEEA) Office by providing frontline support and contributing to student success support SEEA provides. This position offers an opportunity to develop professional and personal skills while making a meaningful impact on campus life, classmates experience & their education journey, particularly in support of first-generation college students.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties may vary depending on supervisor’s needs and office priorities. Responsibilities include:

• Serve as Front Desk Receptionist:
  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors to the SEEA office
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide basic information or direct to appropriate staff
• Support Student Success Specialist:
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and hosting events or workshops

Collaborate on special projects as assigned by the SEEA Professional Staff

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a current SLCC student
• Must be Federal Work Study (FWS) eligible
• Must be enrolled in 9 or more credit hours
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

Preferred Qualifications:
