Southeastern University’s Athletics Communications department is seeking student workers for the 2026-2027 school year (fall semester) on a part-time basis at the Lakeland Main Campus. Duties include supporting live streaming productions, graphics design, photo/video capture, and statistics maintenance for team records.

Job description

SEU's Athletic Communications department is seeking student workers for the 2026-2027 school year (fall semester). Applicants must be a returning Southern University student (freshmen are encouraged to apply) and available to work a part-time schedule. Please note that this job will be open until positions are filled.Total hours accumulated cannot exceed 29 hours for regular students and 20 for international students.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Athletics Communications Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES -May include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Clerical and administrative duties, as assigned by the supervisor
  • Department-specific duties, specified below:
    • Support live streaming productions by operating cameras, graphics, audio, or replay equipment.
    • Design graphics for social media, digital displays, and marketing campaigns
    • Capture and edit photos and video for use on social media, websites, and promotional materials
    • Compile and maintain team and individual statistics and historical records
    • Perform other athletic communications and marketing duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES

All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. WORK ENVIRONMENT

TRAINING

SAFETY

SCREENING

All full-time and some part-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
