Qualifications

Summary of Job Duties: The Principal Investigator is seeking a part-time (50% FTE) Student Employee to work on research projects focusing on barriers to smoking cessation among adults who smoke menthol cigarettes. The Student Employee will gain experience in research with adults, health disparities, mHealth, and behavioral research. Responsibilities include assisting the Principal Investigator on all project aspects, reporting to the Project Leader, and supporting data collection, participant recruitment, and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student within the Central Arkansas area.
  • Enrolled in Master’s level courses in public health, psychology, or related fields.
  • Experience in health, public health, psychology, digital health, or related fields.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • Experience or knowledge in tobacco prevention is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and Master’s courses in related fields.
  • Experience with IRB, SPSS, REDCap, or qualitative data analysis.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in research activities, recruit and screen participants, collect data, analyze data, and contribute to reports and publications.

Salary: $15.00/hour
