Responsibilities

• Be part of a new CMU department and help foster and nurture a strong safety culture at CMU.
• Learn about Environmental, Health, & Safety topics & regulations.
• Create spreadsheets & maps to help manage an inventory of safety equipment across campus.
• Schedule and conduct monthly inspections of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, AEDs, eye-wash stations, emergency showers, first aid kits, and spill kits.
• Assist with Safety audits and walkthroughs in various university departments.
• Help maintain a chemical inventory database, create and print labels & placards, ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) manuals are updated.
