Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students across core subjects and languages. You will assist teachers, help prepare materials, monitor behavior, and help students access learning with equity in mind.

The role is available to current DPS students residing in Colorado. You will work on campus under supervision and contribute to a positive school culture while upholding confidentiality and safety policies.

• Must be a current DPS student.
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare the classroom as directed for lessons, clear it afterward, and assist with displaying students’ work.
• Support supervising teachers in helping students understand instructions and curriculum, preparing and maintaining equipment/resources, and assisting students in using them.
• Comply with policies on child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection; report concerns and ensure equal access to learning.
• Set strong and measurable individual goals and deliver expected results under teacher direction; escalate issues as needed.
• Contribute to meaningful conversations around equity and barriers to student success.
• Undertake basic student record keeping and other duties as requested.
