Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University seeks an Athletics Sustainability Liaison to promote sustainable practices within SNHU Athletics. The role supports program development, event sustainability, and outreach to student‑athletes and staff.

Responsibilities include planning, data collection, and collaborating with coaches and partners to advance campus sustainability goals. The position offers hands‑on experience in environmental communication and peer education.

Qualifications

• Must be a SNHU student-athlete in good academic standing.
• Must be enrolled as a SNHU student‑athlete on a SNHU sports team.
• Interest in sustainability, environmental studies, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing sustainability initiatives within SNHU Athletics.
• Support the development of annual sustainability goals and projects for athletic programs and facilities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, conserve resources, and improve sustainability practices within athletics operations.
• Collaborate with Athletics staff to support sustainability‑focused programs and campaigns.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts at athletic events, including recycling, composting, waste diversion, and fan engagement activities.
• Track and report sustainability outcomes associated with athletic events.
• Promote sustainability awareness among student‑athletes, coaches, and athletics staff.
• Develop educational campaigns and outreach opportunities tailored to athletics audiences.
