Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a campus Athletics Social Media Assistant. This position will work with the Director of Athletics Communications and the Communications Manager for Social Media and Content on a number of social media activities that will promote campus athletics.

Hours are 10 hours per week, days negotiable. Compensation ranges from $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, with the offer based on skills, qualifications and equity considerations.

Qualifications

• Full-time enrollment in an Undergraduate Day program.
• Undergraduate majors in Marketing, Art & Design, or Liberal Arts preferred.
• Video editing skills are a major plus; photography encouraged.
• Available to work around campus events with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Create content for social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
• Take photos and videos at campus athletics events.
• Participate in weekly brainstorming sessions and provide student perspectives.
• Help educate/train other students to carry out social media duties.

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a campus Athletics Social Media Assistant. This position will work with the Director of Athletics Communications and the Communications Manager for Social Media and Content on a number of social media activities that will promote campus athletics.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Create content (written, photographic and video) for use on a variety of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube).
• Take photos and videos at campus athletics events.
• Participate in weekly social media brainstorming sessions and provide a recent student's perspective on athletics content that will resonate with the campus community.
• Help to educate/train other students in carrying out social media duties to build the Penmen Athletics accounts
• Design flyers and social media graphics

Minimum Qualifications:

• Full-time enrollment in an Undergraduate Day program
• Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate degrees in Marketing, Art & Design, and Liberal Arts who are pursuing a graduate degree in a Marketing related field.
• Video editing skills is a major plus as is photography

Work Hours

10 hours per week - days and times negotiable

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
