Socket.dev is seeking a Disability Coordinator to plan, implement, and manage the Center's Disability Program, ensuring equal access and success for students with disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Two years’ experience in working with disabled individuals.
• Regular attendance and the ability to interact effectively with the public.

Responsibilities

• Participate in initial screening and assessment of applicants with disabilities to determine program suitability and accommodation needs.
• Coordinate housing and accessibility requirements prior to student arrival and communicate pre-arrival plans.
• Collaborate with Regional Office and Health and Wellness staff to review applications and service planning.
• Conduct vocational assessments to identify students' strengths, interests, abilities, and career goals.
• Develop and coordinate work-based learning opportunities and employment placements for students with disabilities.
• Provide individual counseling, guidance, advocacy, and support services to students with disabilities.
• Identify training needs and provide Center-wide education and awareness programs on disability inclusion and accessibility.
• Coordinate with Vocational Rehabilitation agencies to ensure eligible students receive assessments, services, and benefits.
• Facilitate enrollment and access to Vocational Rehabilitation, SSI, and other programs when applicable.
