Job summary

The Summit Church in Durham, NC is seeking a Campus Director for Student Ministry to shepherd students and families, recruit and develop leaders, and coordinate ministry programs at our campus. You will work with a centralized Next Gen team to align campus and all-church initiatives.

You should have proven experience with middle and high school ministry, strong teaching ability, and a heart for evangelism and disciple-making within a multi-site church setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in student ministry in a multi-site setting.
• History of teaching both middle and high school audiences effectively.
• Comfortable with shepherding, supervising, and communicating with students, parents, and volunteers.
• Passion for student ministry and a teachable spirit and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Know, love, and shepherd students and parents at the campus.
• Recruit, mobilize, equip, and develop leaders.
• Engage in the community to open doors for evangelism and outreach.
• Contextualize and execute Student Ministry programs and events at the campus.
• Maintain all Student Ministry programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in contextualization and execution of events at the all-church level when available.

Summary of PositionThe Student Ministry Campus Director must possess mature Christian character and a strong desire to reach and disciple teenagers. They must have a proven track record of engaging teenagers (and their families) in meaningful relationships and be extraordinarily disciplined in the recruitment, development, and care of volunteers. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
