The student intern supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements.
The student intern functions as part of the dialysis health care team in providing medical nutrition therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a registered dietitian, in accordance with FMCNA policies, procedures, training, and regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies.
Dietetic Intern: An individual enrolled in an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship or university-based Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
Under supervision of the Renal Dietitian, the intern may:
The role involves desk work, computer use, and interaction with patients and staff. Travel between facilities and to meetings may be required. The environment is typical of a healthcare facility, with potential exposure to infectious materials.
Bachelor's or Master's in Nutrition/Dietetics or current enrollment in an accredited Coordinated Program.
Outstanding customer service, desire to deliver superior patient care, and alignment with Fresenius' values are preferred.
Interns cannot work under or care for family members at the facility.
Assignments are closely monitored by the Clinical Manager and supervised by a Registered Dietitian based on the education plan.
