Johnson County Community College (JCCC) seeks a part-time Student Development Specialist at Overland Park Main Campus to assist students with enrollment and orient them to college policies and resources. This role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and reliable handling of student inquiries.

The position supports the Student Success & Engagement department, with a non-exempt status and a starting hourly salary range of $16.68 to $21.23 depending on experience.

Starting Salary Range: $16.68 - $21.23 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Assist students with the college enrollment process and orient students to college policies, procedures, resources, and technology.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree and 1 year experience.

Position details include but are not limited to:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for student enrollment needs and questions to resolve barriers to student success and refer appropriately to other departments as needed.
• Provide customer care and communicate effectively and accurately via email, telephone, or in person with students.
• Facilitate student learning by orienting students to the enrollment process, college policies, technological tools, and campus resources.
• Assist with training and mentoring new employees and provide help in the ongoing development of training materials.
• Complete any additional administrative projects, including overseeing the daily SDS schedule to contribute to the department's seamless operation.
• Serve as a point of contact for staff on the day-to-day department needs and provide guidance when the supervisor is unavailable.
• Provide, receive, and accurately process paperwork related to the enrollment process in accordance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA).

*Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
