Job summary

Indiana University is seeking student interns for the fall 2026 semester to tell the Hoosier story through photography, videography, and trending content adaptations. You will work with the IU Content Team under the Director of Social Media to create engaging content across platforms.

The role requires familiarity with video production, Adobe tools, and brand guidelines, with a focus on storytelling and audience engagement. Indianapolis, IN location; hourly internship at $15.00.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of communications channels including publications, web, multimedia and social media strategy.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Illustrator.
• Experience in visual storytelling, vertical video production, editing and transitions.
• Ability to apply brand standards creatively across projects.
• Comfort using personal devices and equipment for content creation.
• Enrolled student at Indiana University with interest in communications.

Responsibilities

• Ideates, creates, and appears in vertical videos aligned with university priorities.
• Develops high-quality content to boost engagement and IU brand elevation.
• Shoots, edits, and records photography, videography, and audio interviews.
• Creates digital content (memes, gifs, graphics, animations) for IU accounts.
• Analyzes content performance and suggests optimizations.
• Collaborates with staff and communicates strategy across initiatives.
