ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY : Under the general supervision of the Interim Property Manager, and the daily supervision of the Interim Assistant Property Manager, the Student Assistant is responsible for assisting with various tasks within different areas (Operations, IT, Residential Education, Maintenance). This position is designed to provide opportunities for students to hone customer service skills, technical skills, flexibility and versatility, team development, and foster professional growth.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
  • Provide a wide variety of general office and outdoor duties, including but not limited to: assisting individuals, answering phones, preparing correspondence, filing, conducting inspections, performing lockouts, assisting in the mailroom, etc.
  • Deliver a high level of interactive customer service, handle confidential materials appropriately, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.
  • Provide a good balance of technical and people skills with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Perform cleaning, move furniture and any other additional maintenance repairs.
  • Work well with staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment.
  • Assist with projects/programming pertinent to their designated area.
  • Prepare documents/materials as necessary.
  • Use student housing database software and Microsoft applications.
  • Give property/unit tours and assist with the leasing process.
  • Assist with outbound marketing.
  • Ability to adhere to regular work schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Cal Poly Pomona student
  • Customer service background is preferred.
