Oregon Coast Community College is seeking a Geology Instructor for the 2027 Spring Term. The position is part-time (PT Faculty) with duties including teaching Physical Science (Geology) and coordinating labs.

Courses are Face to Face for the Spring Term beginning March 29, 2027, with pay $3,522–$4,506 for GS 106, depending on credentials and experience. Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree in Geology or related fields, demonstrate student-centered teaching, and participate in college

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geology or related field as required.
• Graduate credit in Geology (9 quarter hours/6 semester hours) if degree is in related area.
• Alternate path: Master’s in any subject with geology bachelor and 9 quarters/6 sem in Geology (to be approved).

Responsibilities

• Instruct students using approved course outcome guides and accurate syllabi.
• Meet all assigned classes.
• Provide effective teaching strategies in an environment that encourages student interaction.
• Assess and grade student progress and ensure achievement of learning outcomes for all students.
