Job summary

The Student Center at Hocking College seeks a motivated Student Center staff member to supervise facilities, open and close spaces, coordinate events, and provide excellent service to students, staff, and the public. Duties include Front Desk tasks and Climbing Wall responsibilities, with a focus on guest assistance, event support, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Must be a current full-time student and available to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time Hocking College student.
• Must meet SAP requirements.
• Minimum GPA 2.0.
• Customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Climbing Wall staff requires knowledge of climbing safety and belay techniques.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide information about events and resources.
• Assist with event setup and teardown for college events and activities.
• Maintain a clean, inviting environment in common areas, fitness spaces, and auxiliary gym.
• Promote engagement and a welcoming atmosphere among patrons.
• Belay climbers safely and maintain climbing equipment and routes.
