Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking an onsite Career Counselor in Gulfport, MS to develop and deliver counseling programs for students in alignment with government and management directives.

You will interview students, coordinate intake processes, and guide progression through the Personal Career Development Plan while maintaining accurate records and providing group and individual support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling or related field.
• Minimum one year related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Review background files, interview students, and tailor a program.
• Initiate welcome calls and Social Intake Form for each student.
• Use the Personal Career Development Plan to guide stages.
• Assess student needs early in enrollment and provide counseling.
• Coordinate and document progress, aiding staff as needed.
• Conduct weekly counseling for new students and participate in team evaluations.
