Job summary

Auburn University is seeking student employees to support the School of Hospitality Management incubator within Hey Day. You will assist with meal preparation, maintain a clean kitchen, help serve and deliver food, and support basic inventory and supply needs.

This hands‑on role provides exposure to food service operations and supports the daily work of the Food Manager. As an enrolled student, you will gain valuable work experience, learn about operations in a university food-service setting,

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Able to assist in the workplace during peak workloads and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Sets up kitchen for meal preparation and cooks designated meals.
• Keeps kitchen and equipment used in meal preparation clean.
• Delivers food and beverages to other areas of the facility.
• Serves meals and beverages to customers.
• Uses proper storage and handling procedures for food and supplies.
• Places food and supply orders with vendors and checks invoices and inventories.
• Purchases food and supply items from local stores when vendor items are not available.
