Job summary

Crowley ISD is seeking a part-time School Cafeteria Assistant to monitor student behavior during meal service, assist with the cleanliness of the cafeteria, manage the flow of meals, and support recycling, under the supervision of Campus Administration and the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

Responsibilities include circulating in the cafeteria, guiding students, communicating professionally with staff, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in training days.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; coursework in child development preferred.
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Physically able to perform duties and be dependable.
• Demonstrate equitable and fair treatment of students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cafeteria during meal service.
• Manage students during meal service and refer behavior issues as needed.
• Communicate with students and staff in a positive, professional manner.
• Circulate through the cafeteria to assist students and ensure safety and order.
• Assist with cleanliness of the cafeteria and with recycling efforts.
• Dismiss classes orderly at scheduled times and encourage good table manners.
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and cleaning days as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor with staff, students, parents, and community.
