Job summary

Owen County Schools is seeking a Student Worker to assist in school activities and support staff in classrooms and corridors. The position emphasizes attendance, respectful behavior, and positive interactions with students.

The role offers part-time hours and periodic tasks balancing academics with work responsibilities, with supervision provided by school staff and adherence to FERPA and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must maintain good attendance at school.
• Student Worker must maintain a passing level in all classes.
• Shall be friendly and courteous at all times.
• Must be attentive, supportive, kind and positive with the children at all times.

Responsibilities

• Being detail-oriented and completing tasks promptly
• Being comfortable in unfamiliar situations and taking on challenging assignments
• Having good communication skills, both oral and written
• Being able to carry out instructions
• Being able to perform essential functions safely and following safety regulations
• Being self-motivated and finding motivation during stressful times
• Being supportive of student success, respecting FERPA, and maintaining files
• Other duties as assigned
