New York Institute of Technology seeks an Associate Bursar at the Old Westbury campus to manage student accounts, review tuition and fees, communicate with students on balances, and implement strategies to reduce delinquency and financial risk. The role requires collaboration with Registrar, Financial Aid, and campus partners to ensure accurate applications of aid and timely resolutions.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits and policy updates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional customer service to students regarding billing and payments.
• Review accounts for eligible financial aid and apply accordingly.
• Monitor payment plans and deadlines, sending reminders as needed.
• Collaborate with Registrar, Financial Aid, and other departments to resolve account issues.
• Reconcile daily banking and payment reports with Accounting Office.
• Support audits, system testing, and policy changes.
