Job summary

The Leona Group is seeking a Behavior Advocate to support students with behavioral, social, and emotional needs in our schools. You will advocate for interventions, work with staff to implement positive behavior support, and ensure access to resources that promote student success.

You will collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families, participate in SST/IEP meetings, and respond to crises with calm and professional guidance. Strong communication and empathy are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Certification or training in behavior analysis or crisis intervention is a plus.
• Experience with students in a school setting.
• Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for students with behavioral challenges and ensure needs are met.
• Develop coping and self-regulation skills in students.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to create behavior plans.
• Respond to crises, de-escalate conflicts, and provide follow-up support.
• Train staff on behavior management techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Collect data, track progress, and report outcomes to administrators.
• Participate in IEP/SST meetings and communicate with families.
