Job summary

Onslow County Public Schools is seeking a Student Monitor for Queens Creek Elementary in Swansboro, NC for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the principal or assistant principal and begins open until filled.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, classroom management, and a commitment to student safety; an associate degree is preferred, with a high school diploma required, and ETTP training within the first year.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred with emphasis in core subjects.
• ETTP course within first school year after employment.
• HS Diploma required with plan to pursue AA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior in cafeterias, hallways, and common areas.
• Supervise students arriving early or staying after due to transport.
• Support safety drills and school safety plan implementation.
• Assist with lessons when regular teacher is unavailable.
• Maintain order and confidentiality in student matters.
