Job summary

FullBloom seeks an instructional assistant to support teachers in delivering SESI academic rotations and small-group instruction. You will monitor progress, assist with assessments, and reinforce learning through targeted tasks while collaborating with the classroom team.

Responsibilities include behavior and academic support, data-driven material selection, and providing accommodations to diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction as you implement the SESI academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher in providing customized behavior and academic support and conducting formal and informal assessments.
• Reinforce students’ learning by assigning tasks, using data to select materials, and completing one-on-one tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, guiding independent study, and providing accommodations/modifications.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management to maintain safety.
• Support the creation and implementation of daily plans and track student progress.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored during transitions between locations.
• Collaborate with teachers, assistants, and related service providers to address student needs.
