Job summary

Bismarck Public Schools is seeking a Behavior and Academic Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year at Myhre Elementary School in Bismarck, North Dakota. This is a one-year, full-time contract with starting date immediate.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers to address student behavior and academic needs, developing school-wide behavior plans, and providing coaching and professional development for staff. ND teaching licensure or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• ND teaching license or eligibility required.
• Licensed social worker also acceptable.
• Two-year degree with experience working with children acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with instructional coach to address students’ behaviors and support academics.
• Develop behavior change strategies and school-wide plans.
• Use data-based decision making and monitor progress.
• Provide modeling, coaching, and professional development for teachers.
