Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a Learning Specialist in Athletics to support the academic development of student-athletes, acting as a mentor for high-risk students, and coordinating the Emerging Scholars Program (ESP).

You will monitor progress, ensure NCAA/Big 12 compliance, and oversee learning development efforts while collaborating with Academic Coaches and OSAD staff to drive student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Experience mentoring high-risk student-athletes and monitoring academic progress
• Knowledge of NCAA/Big 12 rules and FERPA/HIPAA guidelines

Responsibilities

• Mentor high-risk student-athletes and monitor academic progress across all sports.
• Coordinate Emerging Scholars Program (ESP) and administer mentoring/tutoring assignments.
• Deliver training for OSAD staff and tutors in effective learning strategies.
• Develop and implement educational workshops for student-athletes and staff.
