Job summary

The Learning Specialist at Arizona State University, Tempe Campus, supports the academic development of student-athletes by providing individualized academic mentoring and monitoring progress. • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination.
• Directs team scheduling and maintenance, monitors compliance and athlete eligibility.
• Ensures proper program operations and efficiency within the department.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary academic mentor for high-risk student-athletes across all sports.
• Coordinate the Emerging Scholars Program and schedule mentoring and tutoring.
• Deliver training for OSAD staff, academic mentors, and tutors in effective learning strategies.
• Maintain FERPA/HIPAA compliance and oversee learning software usage.
• Develop educational workshops for student-athletes and staff.
