Job summary

The New School on-campus student worker position supports the Screen Studies Production Studio, assisting with hands-on workshops, camera operation, lighting and sound setup, and blocking scenes. Qualifications

• Experience at a rental house is a major plus.
• Familiarity with check-out systems and gear maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the gear and props on a weekly basis.
• Supporting faculty requests for technical support when needed.
• Charging batteries prior to classes.
• Ensuring that all gear is properly labeled.
• Identifying damaged gear and flagging for repair.
• Researching additional gear to purchase during downtime.
