What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist management, specialists, and engineers in resolving policy, technical, and administrative issues related to air quality
- Manage, monitor, and organize documents and calendars for efficiency
- Gather, compute, and analyze scientific data on state and local incentive and regulatory programs
- Create visualizations and present findings from data analyses
- Communicate effectively with all levels of Commission staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a college student enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience gathering, computing, and analyzing scientific data
- Experience reviewing and interpreting air quality data, including compliance, maintenance, and monitoring plans
- Skilled in preparing and maintaining records and files accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including map rendering and spatial analysis
