The New York State Department of Health is seeking students (undergraduate or graduate) for part-time, temporary roles across administrative areas such as finance, public outreach, education, and operations. Telecommuting is permissible up to 50% of hours; salary determined by academic level.

Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of matriculation and enrollment in the Fall 2026 semester must be submitted with your resume.
Temporary, part-time, non-competitive. Salary determined by academic level. Hours worked and schedule are flexible and dependent upon assignment. Must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate of the position (beginning of the salary range). Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations, and negotiated union contracts.
