Job summary

Devereux Center for Effective Schools seeks a dedicated SAP Liaison to provide prevention, intervention, and consultation services within local school districts. You will work with students, families, educators, and community providers to address mental health, substance use, trauma, and other barriers to student success.

The role emphasizes collaboration, community partnerships, and ensuring timely access to resources, with emphasis on compliance and documentation to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Education, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in behavioral health, human services, education, or a related setting.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and ability to travel between school locations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Required clearances: Act 33/34, Act 168, PDE, and DPW/FBI Fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, intervention, consultation, and referral services to public school students participating in the Student Assistance Program.
• Work closely with students, families, school teams, and community providers; conduct behavioral health screenings, facilitate psychoeducational and prevention-focused groups, and connect students and families to community resources.
• Promote early intervention, student wellness, and positive outcomes by helping students overcome barriers to academic and personal success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with educators, administrators, families, and community partners.

Devereux Center for Effective Schools is seeking a dedicated Student Assistance Program (SAP) Liaison to provide prevention, intervention, consultation, and support services within local school districts. You will work directly with students, families, educators, and community providers to identify and address concerns related to mental health, substance use, trauma, self-harm, and other barriers to student success.

Positional Summary

The SAP Liaison provides prevention, intervention, consultation, and referral services to public school students participating in the Student Assistance Program. Working closely with students, families, school teams, and community providers, the SAP Liaison conducts behavioral health screenings, facilitates psychoeducational and prevention‑focused groups, provides consultation on mental health and substance use concerns, and connects students and families to appropriate community resources.

This school‑based role is essential in promoting early intervention, student wellness, and positive outcomes by helping students overcome barriers to academic and personal success. The SAP Liaison also maintains accurate documentation, ensures compliance with program requirements, and builds strong collaborative relationships with educators, administrators, families, and community partners.

• Ability to travel regularly between schools and community locations.
