Job description

Do meaningful work — as you move from learning to deliver care to beginning to lead

We’re looking for a certain kind of student: someone who chose this field because they actually want to change outcomes for children with autism, who shows up curious and coachable, and who understands that learning the science and doing the compassionate work aren’t two separate things — they’re the same thing.

We call them Teammates. We built Caravel for them. And if this sounds like you, here’s what walking through our door looks like.

  • Supervision that actually prepares you. This isn’t a “shadow and observe” role. You’ll work with clients alongside BCBAs who are invested in your growth, collecting real data on real cases, and getting the kind of structured feedback that builds clinical judgment — not just supervised hours toward your BACB fieldwork requirements.
  • A learning environment that takes you seriously. You’ll be part of a clinical team that treats your questions like they matter, because they do. At Caravel, students don’t sit on the sidelines. You’ll contribute to assessment, program development, and treatment — mentored by people who remember what it felt like to be where you are.
  • A culture that sets you up for what comes next.We know you’re building toward BCBA or BCaBA certification. We’ll help you get there — with structured fieldwork hours, exposure to evidence-based practice across clinic, home, school, and community settings, and a clear pathway toward the Student Analyst II role and beyond.

  • Deliver high-quality ABA therapy across a clinic setting and implement behavior support plans (BSPs) and skill acquisition programs with high fidelity
  • Collect accurate, timely behavioral data and analyze it to support data-driven recommendations
  • Participate in client treatment plans, advance targets, and make procedural adjustments as needed under BCBA supervision
  • Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and probing new targets
  • Co-lead collaborative caregiver training sessions, clinical team meetings, and supervision
  • Help train new RBTs on treatment protocols and provide performance feedback under BCBA supervision
  • Track and document supervised fieldwork hours in accordance with BACB requirements
What we offer
  • Paid position with competitive hourly rate – include pay transparency if applicable.
  • Structured fieldwork hours applicable toward BACB certification requirements
  • Mentorship from experienced, credentialed BCBAs
  • CEU and professional development opportunities
  • A defined pathway with multiple BCBA levels to own your career journey
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree required and active enrollment in an accredited BCBA or BCaBA certification program
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct treatment experience
  • Active RBT certification, or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire
  • Ability to engage children with autism in a supportive, patient, and developmentally appropriate way
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and eager to learn — especially when applying new behavior-analytic strategies
  • Collaborative mindset: receptive to feedback, engaged in team discussion, and committed to a positive learning environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills, verbal and written, with families, clients, and team members
  • Strong organizational habits: timely session notes, accurate data collection, dependable schedule adherence
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical setting
  • Self‑motivated, goal-oriented, and able to maintain professional boundaries with clients and families
Why this work. Why us.

At Caravel, we don’t just talk about changing lives — we do the work, every day. We help children with autism discover their potential and help their families thrive. And we believe the next generation of clinicians deserves a place to become — not just observe.

This work isn’t easy. It’s relentless and demanding, guided by scientific rigor and fueled by steady, compassionate care. But it’s also the kind of work that stays with you, that sharpens you, and that reminds you exactly why you chose this path.

Our Teammates are a rare breed: compassionate, creative problem-solvers who can’t help but want to make people’s lives better.
