Job summary

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, WA seeks a part-time OMO Student Ambassador. The role supports planning and promotion of campus events that advance equity and health professions. Enrolled students in year 1 or 2 collaborate with clubs, SGA, and partners to engage peers and promote opportunities.

The position runs 7 hours/week at $18.00/hour, pro-rated by weekly hours, with duties including on-site event support and logistics coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled PNWU student in the first or second year.
• Experience in event planning or student clubs is preferred.
• Strong communication, planning, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and coordination of campus-wide events promoting equity and health professions pipeline initiatives.
• Support outreach to keynote speakers and coordinate logistics under staff direction.
• Develop and distribute event promo materials across campus channels.
• Serve as a liaison between OMO, student clubs, SGA, and affinity groups.
• Assist mentoring students in health professions programs and connect them with resources.
• Provide on-site support during events (setup, check-in, breakdown).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
