Job summary

Webster Central School District is seeking a Student Aide to support State Road Elementary School students. The role involves supervising small groups during instructional activities, assisting teachers, and handling clerical tasks and materials preparation.

The aide will assist students with health-related activities as needed and may receive hourly differentials for certain assignments. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and emphasizes strong communication with students,

Qualifications

• Must communicate and work well with students (general and special education), teachers, parents, co-workers and others in the community.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to physically keep up with the demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists in supervision of individual or small groups during in instructional activities.
• Collaborates with teachers.
• Assists in clerical tasks and preparation of instructional materials.
• Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate. Examples could include: feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting.
• Hourly differential for those with specific job assignments
