The Role

UAT is seeking a motivated and student-focused Student Affairs Coordinator to provide holistic support throughout the student lifecycle. This role combines financial aid advising, academic support, student success coaching to ensure students have the resources, guidance, and financial planning necessary to thrive.

The ideal candidate enjoys building meaningful relationships with students, solving complex challenges, and collaborating across departments to deliver an exceptional student experience. They are proactive in conducting student outreach for a variety of campaigns, processing documentation accurately, and coordinating with campus partners to support students from enrollment through graduation.

Financial Aid Advising
  • Guide prospective and current students through the financial aid process, including FAFSA completion, verification, entrance and exit counseling, and other required documentation.
  • Develop individualized financial plans.
  • Educate students regarding federal financial aid regulations, institutional policies, procedures, and alternative funding options.
  • Identify creative funding solutions and assist students in securing resources to finance their education.
  • Partner with students to communicate required documentation and ensure timely processing.
Student Success & Academic Support
  • Serve as a point of contact for student questions, directing students to appropriate campus resources when needed.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and communicate important deadlines, registration requirements, and next steps.
  • Collaborate with academic advisors to assist students with educational planning, course selection, and overcoming barriers to persistence.
  • Provide proactive outreach to inactive, at-risk, and academically struggling students to encourage re-engagement and continued enrollment.
  • Guide students toward solutions that promote academic success and degree completion.
Collaboration & Administration
  • Maintain accurate student records within the student information management system.
  • Manage assigned student caseloads while ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication.
  • Utilize reporting tools to monitor student progress, identify intervention opportunities, and support enrollment initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments to ensure coordinated student support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume higher education environment.
  • Experience in academic advising, student services, retention, financial aid, or enrollment management.
  • Familiarity with student information systems and CRM platforms.
  • Experience managing the complete financial aid process, including FAFSA, verification, packaging, required documentation, and student counseling.
Location & Schedule Requirements
  • This is not a remote position. Candidates must be willing and able to work at the Tempe AZ campus.
  • Choice of Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm or Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-7pm
Salary and Benefits

$45,000-$56,000 annually, depending on education and experience.
