Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Parent, Family, and Student Advocacy Graduate Assistant. This role supports students and families, collaborates with campus offices, and helps coordinate outreach, advocacy, and programming through the Dean of Students Office and Division of Student Affairs.

You will work with multiple offices to assist students, parents, and families, while gaining first-hand experience in student services, counseling, and administrative operations.

Qualifications

  • Maintain academic good standing at all times (3.0).
  • Be enrolled full-time, generally minimum of 9 credits.
  • Make satisfactory progress toward your degree as defined by your program.
  • Meet requirements to be eligible for employment in the U.S.
  • Experience with social media platforms (Meta products).
  • Experience with Canva.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Spartan Families Fund database pledges and thank-you letters.
  • Assist planning and execution of fundraising events and PFAC meetings.
  • Maintain PFAC communications and materials.
  • Create content/calendars for Spartan Family Engagement channels.
  • Develop monthly Spartan Family Newsletter.
  • Work with campus partners to meet student needs and advocate for them.
  • Respond to inquiries and assist with confidential matters as needed.
