The campus cashier supports the Controller, Student Accounts Manager, Staff Accountant, Business Office, and Financial Aid. The primary responsibilities include receiving, reconciling, and preparing deposits of cash, checks, and credit cards received by the university. The role also involves data entry into multiple software systems, maintaining files, and providing customer service to students, parents, faculty, and staff both in person and over the phone.
Experience: Entry-level; six months of related experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality are essential.
Other Skills: Ability to multitask, handle high-volume data entry accurately, work under pressure, and have computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of accounting is a plus.
