Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Stryker Systems Maintainer to keep Stryker vehicles operational in support of missions. You will supervise field maintenance on systems such as suspension, hydraulics, and armament, diagnose issues, and mentor junior Soldiers.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction, tuition assistance, and benefits including health care and retirement plans. Drill-weekend pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Age 17–35 years.
• Pass physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and sustainment maintenance on vehicle systems including suspensions and hydraulics.
• Supervise safety, tool use, and maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior Soldiers.
• Repair battlefield damage and perform repairs on Stryker systems.
