Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a Field Service Representative to support Stryker vehicle fleets and coordinate with brigade, battalion, and program staff. You will perform PMCS, manage maintenance priorities, and mentor GDLS mechanics and Army personnel.

The role requires a Secret clearance (active preferred), Stryker FSR certification, a HS diploma (associate degree preferred), and 6–9 years of related experience. Travel may be required; annual bonus offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Six to nine years of related work experience; equivalent military service acceptable.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Passport within 90 days of hiring.
• Must be able to gain and maintain Secret Security clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Stryker vehicle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with brigade and battalion representatives and senior program office staff.
• Monitor and maintain configuration management for Stryker variants.
• Prioritize efforts for fleets up to 70 Stryker platforms in maintenance cycles.
• Maintain fleet readiness at 90% or above through PMCS and repairs.
• Provide hands-on training for GDLS mechanics and U.S. Army personnel.
• Oversee PMCS and troubleshoot FUPP-related systems using BITE and tools.
• Complete reports and paperwork; manage property accountability.
• Support environmental, Hazmat, safety, and site administrative duties.

Field Service Representative (FSR) At General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) we put our Customers at the center of everything we do. Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and interface with customer representatives at the brigade and battalion command levels as well as senior program manager office representatives.
• Monitor and maintain configuration management for Stryker variant of vehicles.
• Set priority of effort for up to a battalion size fleet of up to 70 Stryker platforms in unscheduled maintenance, scheduled maintenance and repair parts processing.
• Use skills, abilities, and workload demands to set mission priorities and maintain fleet operational readiness of 90% or above.
• Conduct hands on training or sustainment training program for General Dynamics Land Systems mechanics and United States Army Mechanics, Operators or Leaders.
• Oversee and assist with preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on all Stryker variants to include sub-components and LRUs pertaining to the Stryker Platform.
• Oversee and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in automotive systems (full up power-pack FUPP (engine, transmission, cooling), fuel, exhaust, driveline and suspension ) using built in test equipment (BITE), test equipment and/or manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), common and special tools and applicable technical documentation.
• Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork (reports) related to performance of duties.
• Provide property accountability for all assigned property. Assistance for property accountability where needed.
• Provide assistance and mentorship to welding procedures based on company guidelines.
• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO processes.
• Perform duties as site Field Representative; Environmental, Hazmat, Safety, Fire prevention and administrative functions.

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to gain and Maintain a Secret Security clearance. Preference will go to applicants who have an active clearance or a recently de-activated clearance.
• Must be certified Stryker FSR or successfully complete Stryker FSR Academy.
• Completion of High School / GED required, Associate degree preferred or equivalent technical certification.
• Six (6) to 9 years of related work experience. (Equivalent military service acceptable).
• Ability to acquire U.S. Passport within 90 days of hiring.
• Stryker Vehicle experience preferred.
• Military school trained wheel vehicle mechanic (such as US Army MOSs 63B, 63S, 63W or 63B MCM or USMC MOSs 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524) preferred. Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable. Field experience preferred.
• Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures and flow diagrams for systems, subsystems and components.
• Travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS locations on short notice to support contingency operations.
• Work in improved and unimproved maintenance facilities, as well as other field environment and work duty locations as required.
• Occasional work in confined space within vehicle interior.
• Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.
• Physical requirements: Must pass and maintain company deployment requirements.

• Carry 70lbs (tool box or parts) up to 50 feet.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain successful NACI background for CAC (Common Access Card).

• Must be able to gain and maintain access to all military installations in which the work is performed.

Position Salary Range: New hires generally start between $75,000 and $80,000 per year. Applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications and professional experience. The full salary range for the position is between $68,100 and $102,300 per year.

Position Incentive: Hired applicant will be able to receive an annual bonus.
