About the Team

The Manufacturing team owns all process development, fabrication strategy, and production equipment for Terran R, our next‑generation reusable rocket. This team handles everything from factory floor layout to developing complex tooling for novel processes and interfaces with vehicle engineering to influence rocket design. We translate engineering requirements into highly optimized production lines, working cross‑functionally to consistently enhance the program.

Position timing: 1st shift, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM PT, Monday‑Friday. This role is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50‑hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed.

About the Role

• Drill precision holes on flight hardware, selecting appropriate drill motors, drill sizes, and tooling/jigs or using espresso cups for alignment.
• Assemble hardware using structural adhesives, properly torque fasteners, install inserts or Hilkern inserts.
• Perform in‑process inspections with hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
• Blend or deburr components using appropriate hand or power tools, then protect hardware with anodized or sealant coatings.
• Uphold high safety and shop cleanliness standards.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all team members.

About You

• 3+ years of precision drilling experience, structural assembly, or integration in an aerospace field.
• Proficient with common hand tools and inspection tools, including micrometers, pin gauges, and calipers.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and team communication tools such as Slack.
